This website was developed with the Family & Friends of Canada’s Paralympic Athletes in mind. The website is intended to be a place to gather information of the upcoming Paralympic Games. Here supporters of our Paralympic Athletes can plan and book their trips to Vancouver and Whistler with any particular needs in mind such as flights, accommodations, and tour packages.

The Xth Paralympic Winter Games will be held in the communities of Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, Canada from March 12th-21st, 2010. The team sports of Ice Sledge Hockey and Wheelchair Curling will be held in Vancouver while the sports of Nordic (Biathlon and Cross-country skiing) and Alpine skiing will be held in the municipality of Whistler. The Paralympic Games recognize sporting achievement and skill for athletes with disabilities including amputees, Cerebral Palsy, spinal cord injuries, visually impaired, and “les Autres”.

Team Canada, at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, will consist of approximately 55 athletes and guides and 55 team officials which includes coaches, team leaders, and Games Mission Staff; for an estimated total of 110 team members - one of Canada’s largest Paralympic Winter Teams to date. Canada will be competing in all 5 sports that will be on the 2010 Winter Games program. Team Canada, in its entirety, will be competing with a goal of a Top 3 finish among all competing countries and nations and will be led by our Chef de Mission, Blair McIntosh (Toronto, ON) and Assistant Chef de Mission, Gaetan Tardif (Toronto, ON).
